Adele Louisa Jurgens was born on November 26, 1917 in Brooklyn New York. As the youngest of Norwegian parents of working-class families, Adele Louisa Jurgens began as a teenager and sporty girl before she decided to take up dancing. She was 18 years old and was a stunningly beautiful woman was a student at a Manhattan studio for a number of years before securing an award of scholarship. After completing Grover Cleveland High School in New York, she joined the Broadway chorus (billed under her true name, Adele Jurgens) of Moss Hart/Cole Porter's musical Jubilee! Musical "Jubilee" that starred Melville Cooper, Mary Boland as well as a younger Montgomery Clift in the roles of the King and Queen. It also featured the Porter classics "Begin the Beguine", "Just One of Those Things" which introduced the Porter classics "Begin the Beguine". Glenn Langan died of cancer in 1991 and their only child, a woman of 48 years old Tracy, who had become a film technician, died in 2001 of an undiagnosed brain tumor. This affected the actress.
